Pop culture is a vibrant and ever-evolving landscape that reflects the collective consciousness of society. Design, in this context, encompasses not only visual aesthetics from collectives like Honey and Bunny whose for designs are exhibited in films and museums, but also the deliberate crafting of experiences, narratives, and symbols that permeate our daily lives like, for example, in the work of Yinka Ilori.

Metahaven blends pop and critical thinking to their visual design. Their work is a provocative exploration of the ways in which mass media, technology, and branding shape contemporary society by dissecting and deconstructing the symbols and narratives of pop culture to unveil the underlying power structures and ideological forces that often remain hidden.
